There have been multiple fires in the western United States that have left destruction and devastation in their paths. 94 large fires have burned 4.6 million acres. More than 30,000 firefighters and support personnel are assigned to incidents across the country. Evacuation orders remain in effect for communities near 36 large fires in the West.
Many Bonanza sellers have been impacted by these fires, as well as by recent hurricanes, so first and foremost we’d like to extend our condolences to those struggling throughout this time. Our thoughts are with you and we are hoping for safety for you and your loved ones.
We’d also like to offer some resources for sellers who understandably might not be able to keep up with their booths for the time being. There are many options available for you:
Place your booth on vacation.
If you’d like your booth to be temporarily offline, Bonanza offers a “Vacation mode” feature that will automatically set all listings to “Reserved” status while you are unavailable to fulfill orders. Visit your Booth settings from the Selling dropdown in the upper lefthand corner of any page and set “Booth currently on vacation” to “Yes.” You can leave an optional note to buyers who visit your booth while it is on vacation mode. Be sure to save your changes. All items will be set to “Reserved” status.
Place individual item listings on hold.
When viewing a listing while logged into your seller account, you will see a link to “Reserve item” just under the listing title in the top-right corner of the page. Click the link to set that individual item to “Reserved” status. You can also visit the Batch Editor and select the items you wish to reserve. Set the status to “Reserved” using the “Set Status” dropdown in the toolbox at the top of the page and apply your changes.
Add a notice to your shipping information.
If you’d like to stay open but will be delayed in sending out items, you can update your shipping information on the Shipping & Returns page of your Booth Settings. You can also add a notice to the beginning of each item listing by visiting the “Text Editing” section of the Batch Editor. Adding a note about the delay can help you keep your business running during this time and keep buyer expectations in check.
We are hoping for a quick recovery to all those affected by these devastating wildfires. If you are in need of assistance or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact [email protected] or visit the Help Center.
